This chicken dish can easily make anyone’s dinnertime better as it features ingredients like chicken, broccoli, and cheddar cheese. This creamy chicken dish is a great way of eating broccoli because there is no way someone would say no to cheesy, creamy chicken broccoli on his or her plate.

Ingredients

fresh broccoli, cut into bite sized pieces: 1 1/2 lbs

cups of cooked chicken , cubed: 3

shredded cheddar cheese, divided: 1 1/2 cup

cup of milk: 1/2

cup of sour cream: 2/3

can of condensed Cream of Mushroom (or chicken) soup: 10.5 oz

teaspoon of garlic powder: 1/2

teaspoon of onion powder: 1/2

teaspoon of dry mustard: 1/2

teaspoon of pepper: 1/2

teaspoon of seasoning salt: 1/4

tablespoons of panko bread crumbs: 3

tablespoons of melted butter: 1

How To Make Chicken Divain

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  2. In a large pot of boiling water, add the broccoli and cook them for 2 to 3 minutes or until they are tender crisp. Then, drain properly.
  3. In a large bowl, add 1 cup of the cheddar cheese, milk, condensed soup, sour cream, and seasoning. Mix it properly, and fold in the broccoli and chicken.
  4. Spread the mixture in a 3qt casserole dish or a 9x13-inch pan, and top it with the remaining bowl.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs and butter. Drizzle the butter mixture on top of the chicken.
  6. Let it bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until the breadcrumbs become lightly brown and the cheese is bubbling.
  7. Serve with noodles, mashed potatoes, or rice, as per choice.

Trivia

  • If it is not creamy and cheesy, it is not chicken divain.
  • Chicken divain can be made with any meat of your choice.

This dish must feature broccoli because that is what makes it so unique!
