Blueberry Mojito

Blueberries are nutritious, sweet and wildly popular. Incredibly low on calories, they can do you a whole lot of good. So why not use them to your advantage and make a mojito out of them? And, you’re not summer ready, if you haven’t already started making these gorgeous, tasty blueberry mojitos. Filled with the goodness of blueberries and mint, this drink is exactly what you need to treat your guests to on a brunch or an evening family get together. Easy to make and easy to serve, you do need this drink in your recipes list right away!

Ingredients

1/2 cup blueberries (fresh)

1 ½ tsp sugar (and additional sugar for rimming the cocktail glass)

3 large mint leaves

1 wedge lime

2 tsp lime juice

club soda or sparkling water

blueberries, mint leaves and lime wheels for garnishing

ice cubes

How To Make Blueberry Mojito

  • Add the blueberries, lime juice, sugar and mint leaves in a cocktail shaker and shake well. Muddle the content using a wooden spoon or a muddler.
  • Add sparkling water or club soda and 1 cup ice to the mixture in the shaker and shake well.
  • Wet the rim of the cocktail glass with lime wedges and dip the glasses into sugar and pour the mixture into these glasses.
  • Garnish with blueberries, crushed mint leaves, and lime wheels!
  • Enjoy your glass of mojito.

  • The U.S. is the largest producer of blueberries. And North America produces almost 90% of World’s blueberry production. Blueberries were once used for dyes and paints. July is known to be the National Blueberry month in the U.S.
  • Blueberries are the state fruit of New Jersey officially. The famous American Poet, Robert Frost wrote a poem on these berries called “Blueberries”.
