A fairly easy recipe to make which can serve the whole family, penne with Italian sausage is baked in a delectable combination of Italian sausage, mozzarella cheese and ricotta.  The topping comprises of Italian seasoning and parmesan cheese. All you need to do is pop it in the oven and let it bake.

This dish is warm, comforting and perfect for a large family.  The best part is that it can be prepared in a day. All you need to do is pop it into the oven and the dish can be prepared in as little as 30 minutes. There are going to be no leftovers because each mouthful is bound to be mouthwatering. Your friends and family will remember you as one of the best pasta cooks after they’re done with this dish.

If you’re running out of time, you can prepare the recipe at night and then cook it the following day, just in time for dinner.

Ingredients

penne pasta cooked al dente: 20 oz

oz of ricotta cheese: 25

Eggs: 2

jar of spaghetti sauce: 50 oz

half a cup of parmesan cheese

bag of shredded mozzarella cheese: 20 oz

tbsp of Italian seasoning: 1

tbsp of Italian sausage: 2

How To Make Baked Penne

  • Cook the sausage for 8 minutes at medium high or until brown. Drain it and set aside.
  • Cook the pasta for about 10 minutes until it is soft and firm to eat.
  • Drain with cold water to halt the cooking process
  • Mix ricotta cheese, penne, mozzarella cheese, Italian sausage, 1 cup of spaghetti sauce and Italian seasoning. Stir the mixture.
  • Spread the penne mixture at the bottom of a large baking dish, which should measure 13x9 inches.
  • Drizzle the remaining sauce over the top

Bake the dish at 350 °C for 45 minutes.
