Ingredients

Butter: 2 tbsp

whole milk: 2 cups

grated parmesan: 3/4 cup

freshly grounded pepper to taste

penne pasta: 12 oz

cloves garlic, minced: 2

cream cheese (cut into chunks of cubes): 6 oz

salt: 1/4 tsp

baby spinach: 4 cups

How To Make Spinach Alfredo Sauce

  1. Place a deep skillet on medium flame and melt butter. Add minced garlic in the skillet and sauté for 1 minute or until it is soft and fragrant.
  2. Reduce the flame to medium-low and add milk in the skillet along with chunks of cream cheese. Bring the milk to boil and continue to whisk until the cream cheese has completely melted into the milk.
  3. Add grated parmesan in the skillet and keep whisking as the sauce simmers. Let it simmer until the sauce changes in consistency and gets thick. Whisk constantly.
  4. When the sauce has thickened, reduce the flame to low and season it with salt, and with a generous quantity of freshly grounded black pepper.
  5. Now add the washed and drained fresh spinach in the sauce and stir. Let it cook in the sauce until it is soft and wilted.
  6. The Alfredo sauce is ready to be served.
  7. If you wish to prepare Alfredo pasta, you can add boiled penne pasta in the deep skillet and toss the content together until the pasta is covered with sauce.
  8. Serve immediately while it is steaming hot!
