A smooth blend of chilled milk and apple, apple shake is a great beverage to have any time of the day. Perfect even for your midnight cravings, this drink is quite easy to rustle up! Apples are available throughout the year, and if you feel you’re getting bored of eating the fruit slices or a salad, here is a simple milk shake recipe that you can do today with just a few handy ingredients from your pantry. This recipe has cows’ milk is substituted with soya milk, for vegans. You can use regular milk instead of soya milk, and make this delicious milkshake.

Ingredients

Apples: 3

Chilled soya milk: 1½ to 2 cups

A pinch of cinnamon powder (optional)

Organic sugar: 1 tbsp

Cashew nuts (or almonds): 12

How To Make Apple Shake

  1. Peel, core, and dice apples.

Tip: Choose apples that are less acidic. Tart and sour apples do not make great milkshakes like the sweet ones do.

  1. To a blender, add the diced apple chunks.
  2. Add ¾ to 1 cup of chilled soya milk, sugar, nuts and blend for a few seconds on the lowest setting.
  3. Add the remaining soya milk and blend smooth.
  4. Transfer the shake to a mug, sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon, and enjoy your apple shake!
  5. For more richness, include dates, figs, walnuts, raisins and other dry fruits.

Tip: Soak the dry fruits in warm water for 30 minutes before your blend.

Store it in your flask, so you can have a cup when you feel like it.
