Top 5 Natural Ingredients with Anti-Pigmentation Properties

Blemishes and pigmentation spots can be aggravating because they can distract from the overall charm of your face. Thankfully this is a condition that is easily treatable using a few natural ingredients. Below are some foods that you probably have in your kitchen already and can be transformed into great solutions to help you reduce skin pigmentation.

Potatoes
Potatoes are actually full of anti-pigmentation properties. They are the perfect thing for improving blemishes and overall skin complexion. If you slice a raw potato in half and dip it into some water, you will be able to treat your skin for pigmentation problems. After soaking the potato in water, rub it across your skin a circular motion for 10 minutes. Then rinse your face using lukewarm water. Repeat a few times a week.

Yogurt
The lactic acid contained in yogurt helps with the shedding of dead skin cells. If you take 1 tbsp of fresh plain yogurt, and apply it to the pigmented affected areas, you will be able to keep your skin blemish free. Let the yogurt stay on your skin for 20 minutes then rinse of your face with lukewarm water.

Coconut Oil
After you remove your dead skin cells using yogurt, you should help to replenish your skin cells by utilizing coconut oil. Wash your face with warm water to remove excess dirt and open your pores. Then apply the coconut oil to your face, making sure to massage it in thoroughly and penetrate deep into your multiple skin layers. Leave the coconut oil on your skin for 30ish minutes after massaging it in. Wash your face with lukewarm water and repeat three times weekly.

Papaya
The key to getting rid of excess pigmentation is to exfoliate. That is where papaya comes into play. This wonderful fruit is a top of the line exfoliant that not only eliminates dead skin cells but helps new skin cells grow by treating hyperpigmentation. Simply transform the papaya into a face mask by mixing 3 tbsp of papaya extract with milk and honey in a bowl. Apply the mask to your ace and let it sit for 20 minutes. Then rinse off using cold water.

Sandalwood
Sandalwood helps to lighten pigmentation spots in your skin to a noticeable extent. Transform it into a face mask by crushing the sandalwood into a powder and combining it with some rose water inside a bowl. Mix the paste thoroughly then apply it to your face. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.
