Chyawanprash is an ancient remedy for many health problems and has been used in Indian households since ages. Chyawanprash is considered to be very good for health as it contains honey, amla, sesame oil, ghee, sugar, numerous herbs, and high amounts of vitamin C. The sweet and sour taste of chyawanprash is liked by the people of all age groups. However, if you are pregnant and wish to consume chyawanprash, you need to consult your doctor before taking it. You should also confirm the required dosage. Basically, chyawanprash is healthy during pregnancy but the dosage needs to be determined by your doctor. Also, it should not be taken during the summer months.

Benefits of chyawanprash for pregnant women

Pregnant women should consent chyawanprash as it increases the level of hemoglobin and prevents the risk of anemia. Chyawanprash is an excellent source of vitamin C and can help strengthen the bones of the baby. It is also a powerful antioxidant and will protect the cells from all damages. Chyawanprash will delay the process of aging and will help you stay refreshed.

What’s more, it is also known to strengthen the immune system as it has loads of vitamin C which increases the production of white blood cells. Hair loss is a very common problem after pregnancy. Chyawanprash will help to increase hair growth as it has amla as the main ingredient. However, if you suffer from diabetes during pregnancy, you should avoid taking chyawanprash. Also, if you suffer from abdominal bloating, you should refrain from consuming chyawanprash. If you feel a burning sensation in the stomach, you might consider taking chyawanprash with a glass of warm milk. However, if the problem persists, stop and consult your doctor immediately.
