Natural Painkillers in Your Kitchen

  • Peppermint: Peppermint will provide relief from headaches, muscular pain, toothache, and nerve pain. Chew some leaves. This will help smoothen the digestion process as well and will also have a calming effect on the mind. Peppermint is very beneficial in treating soreness and cramps. Soak your feet in lukewarm water to which 10 drops of peppermint oil have been added. This will help to relax the nerves and muscles in case of cramps.
  • Yogurt: Consume one bowl of yogurt two times a day. This will also help in improving digestion and will also provide relief from menstrual cramps and pain in the abdomen.
  • Ginger: Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties and is known to provide relief from stomach ache, chest pain, muscle soreness, menstrual pain, and arthritis. If you suffer from gas, chew some ginger. Studies have shown that the consumption of ginger tea provides relief from migraines. Ginger is also known to treat infections in the upper respiratory tract. Ginger also cures bronchitis, coughs, and sore throat.
  • Garlic: Garlic has anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral properties. Garlic provides relief from arthritic pain, ear infections, and oral cavities. Apply some warm garlic oil on the joints and the muscles that are aching.
  • Turmeric: Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties and provides relief from muscular and joint pain. It is also known to reduce swelling. It is an excellent anti-oxidant. Apply aloe vera gel and turmeric in equal quantities over skin patches that cause itching.
