lb Brussels sprouts: 1

cloves garlic – thinly sliced: 2

tsp cayenne pepper: 1/2

tsp red pepper flakes – crushed: 1/2

green onions – chopped: 2

tbsp Dijon mustard: 2

tbsp lemon juice: 1

salt and ground black pepper to taste

How To Make Spicy Brussels Sprouts

  • Place a steamer insert into a saucepan.
    • Fill the pan with water – just below the bottom of the steamer.
  • Cover and bring the water to a boil at a high temperature.
  • Add the Brussels sprout.
    • Season with cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes, and garlic.
  • Recover and steam to your desired degree of tenderness.
  • Move the Brussels sprouts from the steamer to a bowl.
  • Add the lemon juice, green onions, and mustard.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper.
    • Toss until evenly coated.
  • Serve and enjoy!
