Tabbouleh

Tabbouleh

It’s time to introduce yourself to tabbouleh. Tabbouleh is a popular dish in Levantine cuisine that is essentially a type of finely chopped salad. It is primarily made with chopped parsley and combined with bulgur, mint, onions, and tomatoes. This dish is delicious and has a wonderful crunch factor thanks to the bulgur. It is also a traditional part of the mezze in the Middle East and Arab world which makes it a great appetizer and side dish.

Health Benefits

This dish calls for two pounds of tomatoes – that’s a lot of tomatoes and a lot of health benefits. Tomatoes have the ability to lower and regulate your blood pressure, improve your eye health, and improve your stomach health. They can provide relief from the symptoms of diabetes, treat certain skin conditions like irritation and inflammation, and help to treat urinary tract infections. Tomatoes are also great for detoxifying the body and can take some of the stress off your liver
