Ingredients

cup sabut masoor dal—picked, cleaned, and washed: 1

salt: 1 tbsp

tbsp ginger-finely chopped: 1

tbsp ghee: 2

tsp cumin seeds: 1

bay leaves: 2

cup tomatoes-grated: 1/4

green chilies—slit: 3

tsp garam masala: 1/2

tsp coriander powder: 2

tsp chilli powder: 1

tbsp coriander leaves – chopped: 1

How To Make Sabut Masoor ki Dal

  1. Cook masoor dal with water water, salt, and ginger until the dal turns soft.
  2. In a frying pan, heat oil and sautecumin seeds and bay leaves.
  3. Add tomatoes and stir-fry till the oil separates.
  4. Add green chilies, garam masala, coriander powder, and chilli powder; stir to combine.
  5. Add cooked masoor dal and bring to a boil.
  6. Leave to simmer for about 10 minutes.
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
