When you factor in the amount of mixing, kneading and shaping needed, it just becomes too daunting of a task. Sometimes we only have about 15 minutes to satisfy our need for gnocchi. And that is why we decided to prepare the Quick Gnocchi. It is the fastest, tastiest solution for potato lovers everywhere.

Health benefits

Potatoes are an excellent source of vitamin C, B6, potassium and each serving only gives about 110 calories. The best part is how potatoes are free of saturated fats, sodium and cholesterol. Which means that if you’re on a fitness regime, you won’t have to worry undoing all your hard work.

Furthermore, potatoes contain more potassium than bananas. This is required by every single cell in our body, regulating fluids, mineral balance in and out of cells and maintaining healthy blood pressure.

Trivia

  • One of the biggest myths about potatoes is that when you peel them, they lose all their nutrients. This is false because while the skin does contain about half of the dietary fiber, the majority of the nutrients are found inside the potato itself.
  • Did you know that potatoes make for a surprisingly tasty substitution for pizza crust? Just top them grilled or roasted with your favorite pizza toppings.

One of the popular dishes made of potatoes is French Fries, but no one really knows the origin of fires. Some claim it was the French, others believe it was the Belgians.
