Additionally, noni can be 75 percent as strong as morphine, and contains anti-depressive and anti-anxiety qualities that promote a sense of mental well being.

Ingredients

hard white noni fruit: 1

noni juice: 1/4 cup

ripe banana—sliced: 1

fresh pineapple (cubed): 1/2 cup

fresh mango (cubed): 1/4 cup

juice of lemon: 1/4

fistful of kale or baby spinach

scoop protein powder (made from bone broth): 1

almond milk: 1/2 cup

raw honey: 1 tbsp

How To Make Polynesian Noni Shake

For Noni Juice

  1. Wash one unripe noni fruit thoroughly and place it on the counter to ripen.
  2. In two or three days, the fruit will become soft and clear, and ripen like tomatoes.
  3. You can either put it in a blender at low speed, or masticate it with your hands in a colander to strain it into a separate bowl. Discard the seeds and keep the skin, juice and pulp.
  4. Take a ¼ cup of the juice and set aside for the shake; and keep the rest in the refrigerator.

For Polynesian Noni Shake

  1. Add noni juice, banana, pineapple, mango, lemon juice, kale or spinah, protein powder, almond milk and honey into a high powered blender and blend until well combined and smooth.
  2. Add a few ice cubes to the blender and blend to make the shake into a slushy. Or you can use frozen banana in place of fresh bananas for a thicker smoothie.
  3. Pour into serving glasses and serve.

  • Did you know that the noni fruit is a member of the coffee family? And has been used by the Polynesians for its medicinal uses for many centuries. In fact, noni fruits were one of the 24 fruits that were brought over to Hawaii by the early Polynesian settlers 2,000 years ago.

Noni fruit has a taste of sour pineapple, and is bitter and unpleasant on its own. Additionally, the fruit emits an unpleasant, strong smell comparable to blue cheese or even vomit. Hence, it is combines with other ingredients to make juices, curries and other dishes.
