Paneer fried rice recipe is a type of fried rice from the Indian-Chinese cuisine.

There are various recipes for paneer fried rice, but this particular recipe is simple and delicious. While this recipe uses basmati rice, you can substitute this rice with any other aromatic rice, such as jasmine rice, kaima rice, etc.

Ingredients

garlic cloves--chopped: 3

cup cooked basmati rice: 1

stem medium spring onions--chopped: 3

tbsp oil: 2

onions—chopped: 1

carrot, chopped: 1

tablespoon chili sauce: 1-2

capsicum – chopped: 1/2

tbsp soy sauce: 2

cup paneer--crumbled: 1

beans--chopped: 5

tablespoon vinegar: 2

teaspoon pepper--crushed: 1/2

salt to taste

How To Make Paneer Fried Rice

  1. Saute onions in a pan until translucent. Add the remaining vegetables and stir. When the vegetable start cooking, add salt.
  2. When the vegetables are almost cooked, but still crunchy, add crumbled paneer and sauté for another minute.
  3. Add soy sauce, chilli sauce, salt, and vinegar and stir to combine.
  4. Add the basmati rice that’s pre-cooked. You can add some more salt and a teaspoon of vegetable oil while rice is cooking.

Note: Be careful when you add salt, because there is a considerable amount of salt in the soy sauce.

  1. Add black pepper powder and stir-fry the mixture for a couple of minutes.
  2. To cap it all, add some chopped green spring onions to garnish.
  3. Your delicious meal is finally ready and pairs well manchurian gravy.

Historians believe that fried rice originated from Southern China when rice was first domesticated there around 8,200 to13, 500 years ago. The earliest record of the dish was from the Sui Dynasty (589 to 618 CE).
