Ingredients

cup all-purpose flour: 1/2

tbsp corn flour: 3

tsp ginger garlic paste: 1

tsp black pepper powder: 1/2

tsp soya sauce: 1

cup water: 1/3

Sugar to taste

salt to taste

grams white button mushrooms—halved.: 250

small spring onions

green chilies: 3

tsp finely chopped garlic: 2

tsp finely chopped ginger: 2

tsp finely chopped celery: 1

tsp black pepper powder: 1/2

tbsp soy sauce: 1

medium size green or yellow bell pepper—julienned: 1

salt to taste

How To Make Mushroom Manchurian

  1. To make the batter, combine all ingredients to make the batter, add 1/3 cup water and mix well.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium flame and saute the mushrooms until golden-brown, transfer to a dish and set aside.
  3. To make the sauce, heat oil in the same pan and saute ginger, garlic, celery, and spring onions until translucent.
  4. Add green chili and stir for a few seconds.
  5. Stir in salt, soy sauce, sugar and black pepper.
  6. Return fried mushrooms to the sauce mixture and stir to coat.
  7. Garnish with leftover celery and spring onion greens and serve!
