Whole wheat flour is superior to white flour for a few reasons, but most importantly it is not heavily processed. This means that the flour retains its high fibrous content. Dietary fiber is key in preventing constipation and keeping everything flowing on its natural course. Recent studies show that the fiber from whole wheat may also lower your cholesterol, aiding in the prevention of heart disease. According to some researchers, whole wheat will even aid in weight loss!
