pounds of lean beef, ground: 1 1/2

cup of fat-free tomato-basil pasta sauce, divided: 1

cup of breadcrumbs, Italian-seasoned: 1/2

cup of Parmesan cheese, fresh and shredded: 1/2

cup of onion, finely chopped: 1/2

cup of flat-leaf parsley, fresh and chopped: 1/3

teaspoon of garlic powder: 1

teaspoon of dried basil: 1/2

teaspoon of dried oregano: 1/2

teaspoon of salt: 1/2

teaspoon of black pepper: 1/4

large egg whites: 2

How To Make Italian-Styled Meatloaf

  1. Set the oven on preheat at 350 degrees C.
  2. In a large-sized mixing bowl, bring together ground beef with the half cup of pasta sauce and all the other ingredients except cooking spray.
  3. Take a broiler pan, grease with cooking spray, and shape the beef mixture into an 8 by 4-inch loaf.
  4. Take the remaining half cup of pasta sauce and cover the top of the meatloaf.
  5. Bake the raw loaf at 350 degrees for one hour and ten minutes. When the thermometer gives you the internal temperature of 160 degrees, it denotes doneness.
  6. Let the loaf rest for ten minutes before cutting into twelve slices.
