Ingredients

16 oz plain yogurt- plain

5 cloves garlic- chopped

salt to taste

1 dill- fresh and chopped

1 parsley- fresh and chopped

4 oz cheese cream- softened

2 mint leaf- chopped

How To Make Haydari

  • Get a colander lined with 2 layers cheesecloth placed on a bowl, wrap yogurt on the cheesecloth for 8 hours so that yogurt will drain.
  • Mix in a bowl the drained yogurt. Blend garlic cloves and salt to a fine paste and add it to the drained yogurt.
  • Stir in parsley, dill, cheese cream, garlic mixture and spread it in a dish garnished with mint leaves.
  • Enjoy

Trivia

10,000 dill seeds weight just 1 oz because of the small size and light nature of the seed. Even at that, the calcium content of 1 tbsp dill seed is more than what a cup of milk can give.
