Frappe coffee is an iced coffee drink made in a blender. Funny enough, it was accidentally invented in 1957 by Dimitris Vakondios, a Nescafe representative in Thessaloniki, a city in Greece. Frappe is a French word that’s derived from the verb ‘frapper’ which actually means ‘strike’. Contextually, when using the word to describe a drink in French, frappe translates as chilled. Nowadays, frappe is now a hallmark of outdoor Greek cafes. Pack some coffee in a Vaya Drynk to have on the go!
