Eggo Waffles

Eggo Waffles

Eggo is probably the most delicious waffle the world has. The word ‘waffle’ is from the Dutch language, meaning ‘wafer’. The word first made its appearance in the English language in 1725 and essentially means ‘honeycomb or cake’.

After their introduction in the Middle Ages, waffles continued to advance through years and today, we have hundreds (if not thousands) of varieties of the tasty sweet treats that waffles are. Eggo is one of them!

The taste of eggo is one you won’t forget for a long time. Here’s how you can make ego at home!

Health Benefits

Anything you have in breakfast is better than having nothing at all and so is Eggo. Eggo or waffles aren’t the best choice when it comes to breakfast, but you can fit them into a healthy eating regimen by not eating them too often, picking up the correct fixings, and opting for the whole-grain version of them.

All dietary issues mostly come down to this proverb: all things in moderation. Eating a sweet treat now and again wouldn’t kill you, but eating only the sweet treats will. Same goes for Eggo!

baking powder: 1 tbsp

tsp of salt: 1 1/8

Large eggs: 4

granulated sugar: 2 1/2 tbsp

whole milk: 1 cup

cup of water: 1/2

How To Make Eggo Waffles

  1. Heat your waffle iron.
  1. In a large bowl, merge together the flour with baking powder and salt.
  1. Take another bowl of medium size and mix together the eggs and sugar using an electric mixer on high speed, for about a minute. Include milk, water, buttermilk, and oil and whip until thoroughly combined.
  1. Dispense the soaked mixture into the dry substance. Include food coloring and let blend on medium speed for 30 seconds.
  1. Dust non-stick cooking spray on the waffle iron. Transfer ½ cup of the batter onto it and close. Let stay for 1 minute and then remove the waffle and cool. (Waffle should not have browned)
  1. Redo the procedure for waffle batter you are left with.
  1. Once cool, seal up the waffles in freezer bags and freeze.
  1. When preparing to eat, cook in the toaster on the lowest setting until browned.
