Ingredients

cup whole black gram – soaked overnight: 1

chopped tomatoes: 4

tbsp oil: 2

in onion pieces –grated: 2

garlic cloves: 4-5

cup fenugreek leaves: 1

tsp red chilli powder: 1

salt to taste

tsp chaat masala: 1

tsp cumin powder: 1

tsp garam masala powder: 1

cup heavy cream: 1/2

How To Make Dal Bukhara

  1. Pressure cook black gram with salt and four cups of water. Once the pressure releases, mash the dal.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high flame and Sautéonions till light brown.
  3. Add tomatoes, ginger, garlic, fenugreek, salt, and all other spices and condiments and stir to combine.
  4. Add cooked dal and half cup water and let simmer for five minutes.
  5. Add garam masala powder and cream and cook for a minute.
