But you will have to skip the prepackaged stuff and prepare everything from a scratch.This means that your hamburger is going to be that much more delicious!

Ingredients

minced lean beef: 1 lb

large egg: 1

cup of finely chopped onions: 1/2

cup of fine dried bread crumbs: 1/4

tablespoon of Worcestershire: 1

minced cloves garlic, without skin: 2

teaspoon of salt: 1/4

teaspoon of pepper: 1/4

hamburger buns, split and fresh: 4

cup of mayonnaise: 1/4

cup of ketchup: 1/4

iceberg lettuce leaves, rinsed and fresh: 4

large ripped tomato, finely sliced: 1

thin slices of red onion: 4

How To Make Classic Hamburger

  • Take a large bowl, mix minced beef, egg, chopped onion, chopped garlic, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce until they are well-blended.
  • Make 4 equal sized patties of about 4 inches wide.
  • Now grill the patties on an oiled barbeque grill until they turn brown from the inside.
  • Lay the buns, cut side down, on grill and cook until lightly toasted, for about a minute.
  • Spread mayonnaise and ketchup on the buns as per your taste
  • Put a layer of tomatoes onions and lettuce.
  • Then place the cooked Pattie on the top and enclose it with the top bun.

Note: you can add different veggies, sauces or any other toppings you may like.

  • The name hamburger is derived from the city Hamburg. Therefore, the ‘ham’ in hamburger doesn’t mean pork meat.
