Ingredients
white chick peas: 1 cup
tea powder: 1 tsp
tomatoes- chopped and ripe: 2
big onion- chopped: 1
ginger: 1/2 tsp
garlic: 1/2 tsp
green chilli- chopped: 1
red chilli powder: 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
cooking oil: 3 tbsp
salt to taste
coriander leaves--chopped: 2 tbsp
small bay leaf: 1
cardamom- black: 1
cumin seeds: 1 tsp
How To Make Chole Bhaji
- Soak in water overnight.
- Cook chickpeas with water, tea powder, and saltinside a pressure cooker.
- Dry roast the bay leaf, cardamoms, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, coriander leaf, chilli, cloves, and cinnamon in a sauce pan.
- Mash the chick peas and place them inside a mixer.
- Grind the tomatoes into a pureewith a food processor.
- Brown the onion in a pan and add ginger, garlic, and green chilli.
- Add the tomato puree and salt (if needed) to the pan and stir while cooking.
- Add the turmeric powder, red chilli, and the boiled chickpeas and stir.
- Serve and enjoy.
