Ingredients

cup of freshly grated coconut: 1/2

tablespoon of coriander seeds: 3

tablespoon of cumin seeds: 1

dry red chilies: 6

teaspoon of sesame seeds: 1

tablespoon of oil: 2

Thinly sliced onion: 1

teaspoon of chili powder: 1

medium potatoes: 2

prawns grade A, properly cleaned and deveined: 16

teaspoon of ginger and garlic paste: 2

kokams: 5

teaspoon of garam masala powder: 1

cup of ambhe more rice: 1

can of thick coconut milk: 1

Coriander leaves.

few drops of oil

teaspoon of mustard seeds: 1

A pinch of asafetida: 1

small onion - chopped: 1

chopped green chilies: 2

curry leaves: 12

cups of boiled corn kernels: 2

chopped red bell pepper: 1

small chopped tomato: 1

salt for some taste

lemon Juice: 1

teaspoon of chaat powder: 1

few coriander leaves, chopped

How To Make Bhatata Ani Jhinga Rassa

  • Dry roast the grated coconuts inside a pan along with dry red chili, sesame seeds, cumin seeds and coriander seeds.
  • Add some oil and sauté onions in the meanwhile.
  • Blend the mixture when cool, and make a paste.
  • Add oil to a kadhai and toss in ground masala, ginger garlic paste and chili powder when heated.
  • Add the potatoes to the masala
  • Add water when potatoes are half done.
  • Now, add prawns with garam masala and kokam.
  • Add coconut milk and let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Garnish with some coriander leaves.

For Phodni Cha Maka

  • Heat some mustard seeds, green chilies, curry leaves, onions and asafetida in oil.
  • Add red bell pepper and chopped corn in some time.
  • Add tomato, and season with chaat masala, coriander, salt and lemon juice.
  • Serve hot.
