Baked potato is quite easy to make. What’s more is that it hardly takes any time and goes wonderfully well with so many dishes as a delectable side dish.

Ingredients

large potatoes: 4

whole milk: 1 cup

chopped bacon: 1 cup

Grated cheddar cheese: 1 cup

sour cream: 1 cup

finely chopped green onions: 1 cup

Butter: 2 slabs

olive oil as needed

salt to taste

Freshly ground black pepper to taste

How To Make Baked Potato

  1. Take the potatoes and wash all the dirt off them properly.
  2. Keep the skins of the potatoes on.
  3. Place the potatoes on a baking sheet which is greased with a tablespoon of olive oil.
  4. Bake the potatoes in your oven for at least an hour at 400 degrees Fahrenheit so they are properly roasted.
  5. Set aside the roasted potatoes until they are needed for the baking.
  6. Heat up a non-stick frying pan on the stove.
  7. Add bacon into the pan and let it cook on low heat.
  8. On the second stove, heat up the milk in a sauce pan.
  9. Add butter into the milk and leave the milk and butter to simmer into a nice creamy texture.
  10. While the above ingredients are cooking slice the potatoes in half, vertically.
  11. Scoop out the potato flesh from the skins with a spoon and put it into a mixing bowl.
  12. Leave the skin containers of the potatoes back on the baking sheet for later use.
  13. Mash up the potato flesh in the mixing bowl
  14. Season it with salt and pepper.
  15. Add the creamy milk and butter mixture which should be done by now, into the mixing bowl.
  16. Once, it is properly mixed, add sour cream into the bowl and mix it up well too.
  17. Add green onions, half of grated cheddar cheese and bacon into the mixing bowl.
  18. Again, mix everything well.
  19. Spoon the prepared mixture into each of the empty potato cases.
  20. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
  21. Bake the potato cases at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 to 15 minutes.
  22. Let the baked potatoes cool down once they are done and enjoy with your favorite sauce!
