Anjeer ki barfi is a wonderful dessert that originates from the Indian subcontinent. Ingredients

cup dried figs: 1

tbsp poppy seeds: 2

cashew nuts: 17-18

tsp ghee: 1

cup condensed milk: 1/2

tsp cardamom powder: 1/2

How To Make Anjeer ki Barfi

  1. Soak 1 cup of fig for at least 2 hours.
  2. Grind it to make a paste and set aside.
  3. Dry roast poppy seeds in a pan until light golden and set
  4. Dry roast cashew nuts and grind to make a cashew powder. 

Prepare Barfi:

  1. Melt ghee in a non-stick pan and add the fig paste to it.
  2. Add condensed milk and cardamom powder.
    Note: Mix well on low heat for better cooking.
  3. Add cashew nut powder and mix with the fig paste using spatula.
  4. Spread on a butter paper and level it evenly.
  5. Sprinkle with roasted poppy seeds and roll it into the butter paper.
  6. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  7. Open up the paper wrap and slice into pieces.
