Aloe Vera needs no special introduction as the plant has been used for centuries for its medicinal properties. Not just in medicine, aloevera, popularly known as the wonder plant, is used widely for skin care and hair care too.

The gooey juice has a mild flavor, and can be incorporated into other milkshakes and juices too. Slightly bitter, you can use honey, citrus, or any other complementary fluids to minimize the bitterness. Here, you will learn about making aloe vera juice with citrus.

Ingredients

Aloe barbadensis miller plant

white vinegar (optional): 1 tbsp

water (optional): 1 cup

any citrus based juice.: 1 cup

How To Make Aloe Vera Juice

HOW TO MAKE ALOE VERA JUICE

  1. Use a sharp knife and cautiously peel the skin of the leaf.
  2. Peel the yellow layer just beneath the rind with a sharp knife and discard.

Tip : You can also remove the yellow layer by gently bathing it in a solution containing 1 tbsp. or 15ml of white vinegar and 1 cup or (8oz water).

  1. Shed the skin, and remove the yellow layers till you have clear Aloe Vera gel in hand.
  2. Add 2 tbsp. or 30ml of aloe Vera gel to a blender.
  3. Include 1 cup or 8oz of any citrus-based juice, orange or grapefruit.

Tip: If you have an acquired taste for aloe vera juice, you can skip adding citrus juice to your drink.

  1. Blend well, serve chilled.
  2. Transfer the blended juice into a tumbler and sip on! Also, store it in your flask, so you can have a cup when you feel like it.
