Seasonal Allergies – Treatment and Home Remedies

Allergies can make people’s lives miserable. Everything slows down and goes bad. If it occurs every time there’s a weather change, it is called a seasonal allergy. Such allergies are recurrent every year. Not all seasonal allergies are the same. It could be a common cold, headache, breathing problems or rashes and itchy skin. The only common thing about them is it affects your health when there is a sudden drop or rise in temperature. While going to the doctor is advisable if the allergies get worse or prolonged, we do have natural remedies that you could try first. So, head to the kitchen, choose the best cure and get enough rest.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is found in every kitchen. If you don’t, you can always get one. While most people use it for external remedies, for cleaning showers and sinks, even for treating dandruff problems or acidity, did you know that Apple Cider Vinegar can keep your seasonal allergies at bay? You can use it as a natural allergy remedy among many remedial measures. It helps in reducing mucus production and purify the lymphatic system. You can either have like a medicinal syrup or mix a tablespoon of ACV to a cup of hot water.

Chicken Soup

Chicken which is another miracle ingredient that you can find in every home that prefers non-vegetarian diet. If you want to use it as a remedy, prepare a chicken soup. It is the healthiest form to consume chicken. Chicken soup is good for alleviating both cold and flu symptoms. The hot soup helps break up the congestion caused due to cold and fever. You must have soup while it is warm to allow it to soothe a sore throat and heal your body. It is also proven that chicken soup has anti-inflammatory properties.

Turmeric in everything

Turmeric is another main ingredient used in every Indian cuisine. It contains curcumin which helps to manage congestion and reduce allergy symptoms. It is also recommended as one of the best remedies for cold. You can drink it with warm milk or prepare a decoction along with fresh ginger.
