How to prepare Garlic oil and 5 amazing benefits

Food is the best medicine of all and garlic is definitely one of the most powerful ingredients. During the ancient times, garlic was used to cure many health conditions and it still continuing to do so, when used. Garlic is famous for its strong smell and taste, and most people dread to take a bite. Garlic is highly nutritious and enriched with minerals and vitamins. One of the best ways to use garlic is in oil form and it is very easy to prepare.

Ingredients:

  • 2 chopped garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil

Preparation method:

  • Heat oil in a saucepan.
  • Add garlic.
  • Heat the mixture for 3-5 minutes in low heat.
  • Do not let it boil.
  • Turn off heat and transfer the mixture into a container.
  • You can store the oil for 5 days.

How to use garlic oil:

For pimples and acne – Garlic is enriched with selenium, allicin, vitamin C, copper and zinc which are useful to maintain healthy skin. Add garlic oil to your regular face pack. Wait 15-20 mins and wash it off.

For ear infections – Garlic is a traditional remedy for ear infections or pain due to its strong anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Dip the cotton bud in the garlic oil and leave it in your ear canal for few minutes.

For a healthy heart and lowering cholesterol – There have been numerous proven studies that using garlic in food can fight cardiovascular diseases, prevent hypertension and lower the cholesterol levels. Consult a doctor or nutritionist to know the right doses.

For treating skin infections – Due to its anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties, garlic oil can be applied on the skin without causing any side effects. You can also treat skin infections like ringworms, psoriasis, or any fungal infections that cause your skin to itch, which is common during monsoons.

For preventing hair loss – Garlic oil can prevent hair loss and also strengthen our hair from the roots. Apply and massage your scalp gently, for better results leave it overnight. If you use it regularly, you will prevent hair loss and get rid of dandruff too.
