Planning on Binge Drinking? Here’s What You Can Eat to Balance it Out!

When you’re out drinking and having fun, everything is great – the alcohol masks all your problems. But so often, you have to pay for your it in the morning. That’s right, we are talking about the hangover, the true consequence of a night’s worth of fun. Thankfully, you don’t have to suffer for long. You can eat certain foods to limit your hangover and hasten your recovery. Below are some of the best anti hangover foods available:

Bananas
Bananas are one of the best things you can eat to get rid of your hangover. That’s basically because they are one of the easiest sources of potassium. Potassium is one of the first minerals that gets depleted after a night of heavy drinking. It leads to dehydration and headaches.

Dates
Dates are the next best thing after bananas. They are another great source of potassium and they have the added benefit of sugar. Quick sugars can get you going in the morning by boosting your blood glucose levels when you’re not feeling so great.

Whole wheat toast with honey
Whole wheat toast and honey is simple fare that is easy to digest. It also helps to raise your blood sugar levels which is what you need to cure that awful headache. If you don’t have any whole wheat toast, you can eat some whole wheat crackers, but toast is way gentler in the morning.

Eggs
If nothing else works, you might need to just make yourself a quick greasy egg sandwich. Eggs possess cysteine, a compound used to break down acetycladldehye, an alcohol byproduct made from metabolizing alcohol. It is often the source of your headaches and the nausea that you feel in the morning after drinking.
