  1. Mango
    Mango is the undisputed king of fruits. It has a wonderful set of nutrients and it can be eaten fresh, dried, blended, or as part of a larger dish. The fruit also has lots of dietary fiber and beta-carotene, two compounds that have been proven to be wonderfully effective at lowering blood pressure. Mango juice from an insulated tumbler, mango rice from a casserole or mango milkshake from your gym water bottle, they all sound absolutely delicious don’t they?
  2. Salmon
    Salmon and other fatty fish are some of the best things you can eat to lower your blood pressure. You might be thinking this makes no sense since the fish has lots of fats. But they are healthy fats, like omega-3 fatty acids. They have the ability to reduce inflammation which can increase your blood pressure.
  3. Bell Peppers
    Bell peppers have earned their way on this list. They have more than 3 times the vitamin C content of most citrus fruits. This high of an antioxidant content makes them perfect for improving your cardiac functionality and lowering your blood pressure.
  4. Dark Chocolate
    You probably did not expect something that is eaten for dessert to help lower your blood pressure, but here we are. Dark chocolate – Not milk chocolate!! – is filled with flavonoids, the compound that gives plants their color. Flavonoids have the ability to improve endothelial functionality which lowers your blood pressure in turn.
