Kitchen Ingredients that are Magical for Foot-Care Routine

The most neglected and the most critical part of our body are our feet. They carry us everywhere and is exposed to dirt and pollutants as well. They need attention and care just like our face and hair. If we ignore basic care, our feet will get fungal infections or cracks. Cracked feet invites a lot of other infections, and they get worse during winter.  So, here a few magical ingredients that are readily available in your kitchen. All you need is a little time to care for your feet.

Magical remedy no.1

Baking soda is an excellent exfoliator and also has anti-fungal properties. You don’t need to add anything to it. Mix one cup baking soda with water just until it turns into a thick paste. Scrub it gently and soak your feet in warm water for 15-20 mins.

Magical remedy no. 2

Coffee is another easily available ingredient in the kitchen. If you have a grounded filtered coffee powder or even an instant coffee mix, you can mix it with other magical ingredients for a perfect foot scrub. All you need is some sugar and coconut oil. Mix coffee and brown or white sugar in equal parts and a few drops of coconut oil. Gently scrub it and wash it off.

Magical remedy no. 3

You can also use your favorite breakfast ingredient, oatmeal as a foot scrub. Oatmeal can soothe your feet. Adding olive oil to the oatmeal will give you extra moisture that your feet need. Take two tablespoons of oatmeal mix it with one teaspoon olive oil. Apply and massage it gently. Wash it off after 30 mins.

Here’s are a couple of additional tips while using any foot scrub – be gentle. Don’t forget to moisturize your feet every day, especially at nights. You can follow these remedies at least twice a week to make your feet look gorgeous and ready to wear your favorite sandals.
