How Avocado is Not Only Delicious but It’s Loaded with Health Benefits as Well

Avocado is one of the more unique fruits out there. Everything about it is…special; everything from its skin, to its texture, to its taste, to its composition. Sometimes you have to wonder if this is really a fruit, and not some sort of alien pod. What is really amazing about the avocado though is its health benefits. Unlike most fruits, which are primarily carbohydrates, avocado is made primarily from healthy fats. You might think that fats aren’t healthy, but it turns out that they give the avocado a lot of health benefits.

Avocado Nutrients

Avocadoes don’t just have lots of healthy fats. They are actually pretty nutrient dense fruits. They have all manner of vitamins and minerals such as, vitamin K, folate, vitamin C, potassium, vitamin B5, vitamin B6, and vitamin E. They do not contain any cholesterol or sodium, and they have a low amount of saturated fat (guacamole is the best for you).

Health Benefits

Avocadoes have all kinds of health benefits, thanks specifically to all of these nutrients.

Aids in Digestion

This pear shaped fruit helps to sooth your intestine and aid in your digestion. This is primarily because they contain quite a bit of soluble and insoluble fibers, which are important for digestion.

Improves Vision

If you’re worried about your eyes, you should eat avocados. They possess carotenoids like, lutein and zeaxanthin which protect your eyes from cataracts and age related eye diseases.

Skin and Health Care

Avocadoes have been used as part of skin and beauty regimens for quite some time now. They enrich and hydrate your skin and repair it when it’s damaged. They also repair your hair due to the plethora of essential vitamins that they possess
