Here are the Fruits That Will Help Improve White Blood Cell Count

Managing your white blood cell (WBC) count is one of the most important things you can do for your overall health. Your white blood cells directly attack bacteria and pathogens that are inside your blood making you sick. It is more accurate to say that the WBC eat and ingest the bacteria. They also are responsible for building antibodies and helping you resist bacteria and viruses that you’ve encountered before. Your WBC count can dip for a variety of reasons, even when you are not sleeping enough. But you can easily raise your WBC count by eating the right fruits. Read below to see which fruits are the best for improving your WBC count.

Papaya Leaves

Ingredient

  • A bunch of papaya leaves
  • Water (as required)

Procedure

  1. Wash the papaya leaves.
  2. Blend the leaves.
  3. Combine the blended leaves with a little water then blend again.
  4. Strain the mixture and consume one tbsp of juice.

Note: Add honey if the mixture is too bitter.

Papaya leaves are great for boosting your immune system. They contain the compound, acetogenin which plays an important role in creating white blood cells. The leaves are also a great remedy for treating dengue fever.

Kiwi Fruit

Ingredients

  • 1-2 kiwis

Procedure

  1. Peel and slice the kiwis into small pieces, then eat them immediately

Kiwis are great fruits for bolstering the immune system. They are rich in antioxidants and essential nutrients such as, vitamin C, vitamin E, and potassium. These nutrients all work together to increase your white blood cell count.

Citrus Fruits

Citrus fruits are probably obvious. Vitamin C is often the first thing we turn to when we feel ourselves coming down with a sickness. Most citrus fruits are great sources of antioxidants and vitamin C which plays a major role in increasing your WBC. Try eating oranges, apples, grapefruits, strawberries, and lemons to develop immunity.
