Coriander and its Magic: Why You Must Eat it Every Day!

Coriander is a top-notch herb that is known as ‘dhaniya’ on the Indian subcontinent and cilantro in the West. It is typically utilized as a type of garnish or condiment, or sometimes just as a decoration on fancy plates. It also is noted for its pleasant and highly recognizable aroma. Besides being used as a garnish, cilantro has a significant amount of health benefits that make it worth being a regular part of your diet. You can realistically eat coriander every day and only gain from the experience.

Coriander Lowers Skin Inflammation

Cilantro has one of the 11 components of essential oils and linoleic acid which contain both antiarthritic and antirheumatic properties. They work together to reduce the swelling these conditions cause. Coriander also has anti-inflammatory properties which can also reduce swelling. If you’re suffering from skin irritation, then eating some coriander should be your first step for treatment.

Coriander Reduces Inflammation in Organs

Coriander also helps to reduce the swelling inside your organs which can be caused by various diseases or chronic conditions like kidney failure or anemia. It will help in the detoxification process which is essential to keeping the organs from acting up. It does this by inducing urination and releasing excess water from the body.

Lowers Cholesterol Levels

Eating coriander regularly is also a fantastic way to lower your bad LDL cholesterol levels. This is due to the various acids present in cilantro, like oleic acid, linoleic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, and ascorbic acid. Lowering your LDL cholesterol and removing it from the inner linings of your arteries are important for helping to prevent cardiovascular disease and other issues like strokes. Coriander also helps to raise the concentration of good cholesterol, HDL, inside your body.
