Can You Recognize Your Body’s Signs for Improper Nutrition?

Our bodies are incredible machines indeed: it’s a marvel how nature has prepared them so well to treat themselves and indicate all problems in incredible ways. Our bodies show us specific signs that indicate something is not quite right and that we need to take corrective measures and consult a medical practitioner. These signs mentioned below, of course, can indicate a variety of conditions so it is best to seek professional advice.

Bad Breath

Bad breath is often the result of ketosis, a process that occurs when our body falls short of enough glucose to produce energy. It then resorts to burning the stored fats which results in the production of chemicals called ketones that are largely responsible for bad breath.

Thin Hair

If you’ve been noticing thinning hair, it might be a sign that you need to include more iron-rich foods in your diet. Consider consuming lots of fresh vegetables and pulses to keep thin hair at bay!

Constipation

This is often caused when you aren’t drinking enough water. Add foods rich in fiber, nuts, and whole grains to your diet.

Skin Health

If you’ve been suffering from acne and pimples, it might be time to examine your diet. Consider including foods with lots of calcium in your diet— these include almonds and broccoli, for instance.  You could also add responsibly-source dairy products such as milk to your diet for meeting the calcium requirements.

Feeling Hungry

It’s fine to have cravings for your favorite foods at times, of course! However, if you have been feeling hungry right after eating or have cravings often, it might be a time to include foods with more macronutrients (proteins, carbohydrates, and fats) into your diet. Consult with your doctor who would be the best person to advise you and recommend a diet plan.
