7 Ways to Treat Your Hair Using Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil is a wonderful natural oil that is extracted from the seed of the jojoba tree. It is native to the southwestern United States, ranging from Southern California to New Mexico. It is technically a liquid plant wax that is used in folk medicine and can treat natural ailments like, sores, bruises, acne, sunburn, chapped skin, and psoriasis. Below are just a few ways to utilize this wonderful oil.

A nightly facial moisturizer

Jojoba oil makes for a fantastic nightly moisturizer. You can combine a few drops of jojoba oil to your night time moisturizer to make it more effective. You can also just utilize the oil on its own by applying a few drops to your face, neck, and hands. The jojoba oil will help to lock in the moisture and help to counter dryness.

After-shower body moisturizer

Right after your shower is a time when you want to fight skin dryness. This is especially true for your hands, feet, and other areas with sensitive skin. Apply a few drops to your dry areas right after getting out of the shower.

Makeup remover

You can use jojoba oil as an effective and natural makeup remover. It is strong but gentle; it can even be used to take off your eye makeup. To use it, apply a few jojoba oil drops to a cotton ball and gently wipe your makeup away.

Lip balm

Jojoba oil is fantastic for chapped and sensitive skin, especially your chapped lips. Simply spread a couple drops of oil on your finger then wipe it across your chapped lips.

Shaving necessity

Jojoba oil is actually great for shaving with sensitive skin. Apply a few drops to your skin before shaving, and your shave will be smoother and leave your skin soft and supple.
