Ingredients

tsp olive oil: 2

small onion - grated: 1

cloves crushed garlic: 2

carrots - shredded: 2

small summer squash - shredded: 1

small zucchini - shredded: 1

cups rolled oats: 1 1/2

cup cheddar cheese - shredded: 1/4

egg - beaten: 1

tbsp soy sauce: 1

cups all-purpose flour: 1 1/2

How To Make Veggie Burger

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over low heat.
    1. Cook the onion and garlic until tender.
    2. Mix in the zucchini, carrots, and squash.
    3. Continue to cook and stir for 2 minutes.
  2. Remove pan from heat.
    1. Mix in egg, oats, and cheese.
    2. Stir in soy sauce.
    3. Transfer the mixture to a bowl.
    4. Refrigerate 1 hour.
  3. Preheat the grill to a high temperature.
    1. Place the flour on a large plate.
    2. Form the vegetable mixture into eight 3-inch round patties.
  4. Drop each patty into the flour and coat lightly on both sides.
  5. Oil the grill grate.
  6. Grill patties for 5 minutes on both sides.
