Ingredients

whole wheat bread slices: 8

tsp oil: 1-2

mushrooms or mushroom stems – finely chopped: 4-5

medium sized green bell pepper – finely chopped: 1/2

cup onions – finely chopped: 1/2

crumbled paneer or fresh bread crumb (for binding): 1/4 -1/2

tbsp yogurt: 1

tbsp roasted gram flour: 1/2

tsp ginger garlic paste: 1

tsp turmeric powder: 1/4

tsp red chili powder: 1/2

tsp cumin and coriander powder: 1/2

tsp dried mango powder: 1/4

tsp garam masala: 1/4

salt to taste

tsp cilantro: 1

tbsp mozzarella cheese – freshly grated: 1

How To Make Tandoori Mushroom Sandwich

  • Combine 1 tbsp of yogurt and ½ tbsp of gram flour inside a bowl and whisk well.
  • Add all the spices and through mix them.
  • Heat oil in the pan.
    • Add the onions and sauté for a few breaths.
    • Add mushrooms and green bell pepper.
  • Combine the marinade and sautéed vegetables.
  • Add the crumbled paneer or fresh bread crumbs and mix well.
  • Add the cilantro and mozzarella cheese once the mixture cools.
  • Apply stuffing to a slice of bread.
  • Place another slice of bread on top and press the sandwich together.
    • Grill the sandwich in the panini maker.
  • Repeat this process for the other sandwiches.
