Garlic or lehsun chutney is one of the spiciest and palette-pleasing chutneys one can have. It is an essential condiment in South Asian cuisines.

Whether you want to eat it with an aloo paratha or mix it in your rice, garic chutney wakes up your taste buds, and soon enough you realize you can’t eat most of the meals without it!Although you won’t be repelling vampires with this chutney, you will definitely want to have it as astapleto go with every dish. This recipe stores well. You can store it in a storage container and eat later, and it will still taste as delicious as freshly prepared.

Ingredients

large garlic bulb (peeled): 1

dried red chilies (addmore if you want it spicier): 6-7

tsp cumin seeds: 1

tsp mustard seeds: 1

tbsp water: 6-7

tbsp oil: 5-6

tsp salt: 1

tsp red chili powder: 2

large tomato, diced: 1

How To Make Spicy Garlic Chutney

  1. Combine the tomato, garlic cloves, salt, water, red chili powder and cumin seeds in a blender or grinder.
  2. Grind until a smooth paste is formed.
  3. In a skillet, heat oil. When the oil starts giving out smoke, add the blend and cook until the tomatoes turn a deep red and the oil starts separating from the sides. Allow to cool
  4. Transfer prepared relish into clean jars. The garlic tomato chutney is all yours to enjoy!
