cup ground beef: 1

cup Italian sausage: 1

teaspoon salt: 1 1/2

teaspoon pepper: 1/2

Large onion (chopped): 1

teaspoon Italian seasoning: 1

tablespoons parsley: 2

teaspoon garlic powder: 2

tablespoons Worcestershire sauce: 2

canned tomato paste: 6 ounces or 12 tablespoons

canned tomato sauce: 29 ounces or 3 1/2 cups

tablespoons granulated sugar: 2

cups water: 1 1/4

regular lasagna noodles, uncooked

cups shredded Mozzarella cheese: 4

cups cottage cheese: 1 1/2

cup grated parmesan cheese: 1/2

How To Make Slow Cooker Lasagna

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, Italian sausage, and onion on medium flame until they turn brown.
  2. Add salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, parsley, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, tomato sauce, sugar and water to the beef and sausage.
  3. Stir and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. (You can also make the sauce in advance or use the readymade spaghetti sauce)
  4. In a slow cooker or crockpot, spread one-fourth of the sauce.
  5. Arrange the layer of uncooked noodles over the sauce.
  6. In a bowl, combine cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Use one-third of the cheese mixture to spread on the noodles.
  7. Repeat layering twice.
  8. Top the layers with the leftover meat sauce and sprinkle extra mozzarella sauce.
  9. Cover and cook for about 4 to 5 hours until the noodles are tender.
