Ingredients

1 pound sea scallops

1 packet (10 ounces) frozen chopped spinach, thawed

1 packet (10 ounces) frozen chopped spinach, thawed

2 tbsp all-purpose flour

3 tbsp butter

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

¼ cup grated parmesan cheese x 2

¼ cup plain breadcrumbs

1 tbsp food seasoning

salt to taste

ground black pepper to taste

How To Make Scallops Florentine

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees (175 degrees C).
  2. Use a 9-inch pie plate and grease it slightly.
  3. TO a pot, add water, and bring it to boil.
  4. Add the scallops in the pot of water after washing them. Cook them for about 2 minutes.
  5. Using a slotted spoon, take the scallops out of the pot and pat them dry.
  6. Arrange them at the bottom of the prepared pie plate and set aside.
  7. Melt the butter in a small saucepan and then stir in the flour. Let it cook over low heat for about 3 minutes.
  8. Add heavy cream and whisk, and add parmesan cheese. Use salt and black pepper for seasoning. Cook for another 2-3 minutes while stirring constantly until the mixture is thick.
  9. Squeeze the spinach to get rid of any moisture, and spread it over the scallops.
  10. Pour the cream sauce over the spinach. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, and breadcrumbs on top.
  11. Sprinkle the food seasoning over the breadcrumbs.
  12. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until it turns brown and bubbly.
