As the name indicates, the recipe comprises potatoes that are blended with roasted garlic, and butter and milk as two additional major ingredients. The recipe is standard.

Ingredients

medium head garlic: 1

tablespoon olive oil: 1

pounds russet potatoes, peeled, and quartered: 2

tablespoons butter, softened: 4

cup milk: 1/2

Salt and pepper to taste

How To Make Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes

  1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius or 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Sprinkle olive oil on garlic and wrap in aluminum foil. Bake the pack in preheated oven for an hour.
  3. Take a large pot and fill it with salted water. Bring the water to boil to add potatoes. Cook until potatoes are tender or for 15 minutes at least.
  4. Drain water, cool the potatoes, and chop.
  5. Pour in butter, milk, salt, and pepper and stir well.
  6. Remove garlic from oven and slice into halves.
  7. Squeeze softened garlic cloves into the potatoes. And blend with an electronic mixture until evenness is achieved.
  8. Season with black pepper, coriander, or any other relish you like. Eat on!

Mashed potato (British English) or mashed potatoes(American English) is also commonly known as ‘mash’ which clearly is prepared by mashing boiled potatoes. The dish is generally associated with holidays celebrated in the United States of America such as Thanksgiving and Christmas. However, in Canada and UK the dish is mostly enjoyed through the year.

While the dish can be consumed on its own, mashed potato are popularly served as a side dish. It is often served with dry chicken and meat dishes such as steaks and/or the way it is served in the British Isles with sausages.
