Ingredients

slices of bread: 12

american cheese slices: 6

cheddar cheese slices: 6

provolone cheese-slices: 6

pinconning cheese slices: 6

ham slices: 6

mustard: 1 cup

mayonnaise: 1 cup

Freshly ground black pepper to taste

red pepper flakes to taste

How To Make Pinconning Cheese

  1. Take 6 slices of bread.
  2. Using a knife spread mustard over each of the six slices.
  3. Make sure that the mustard is spread out over the entire slice instead of getting cluttered in a corner or in the center.
  4. Place a slice of provolone cheese on top of the mustard coated slice of bread.
  5. Place a slice of American cheese on top of that.
  6. Place a slice of Pinconning cheese on top of that.
  7. Place a slice of sharp cheddar cheese on top of that.
  8. Place a slice of ham on top of the cheese slices.
  9. Repeat the same process with the remaining 5 slices of bread.
  10. Take the 6 slices of bread that you are going to use to cover the sandwiches from the top.
  11. Spread mayonnaise on top of the slices thoroughly.
  12. Sprinkle some freshly ground black pepper and red pepper flakes on top of the mayonnaise spread.
  13. Lid your sandwiches with those slices.
  14. Put a non-stick frying pan on the stove on low heat.
  15. Let it heat up for at least 5 minutes.
  16. Place a sandwich in the middle of the pan.
  17. Let it cook on low heat for at least a minute.
  18. Then use your spoon to flatten the sandwich from the top.
  19. As the cheese begins to melt, after 2 to 3 minutes, flip the sandwich to do the same with the other side.
  20. Once, the bread turns slightly brown, remove the sandwich from the pan.
  21. Repeat the same process with the rest of the sandwiches.
  22. Pull them out in a serving dish and enjoy!

  • Pinconning cheese came into being because Michigan had too many cows and too much milk and had no idea what to do with it
