Ingredients

Peanuts: 8 tbsp

oil: 1 tsp

salt to taste

big onion- peeled and sliced: 1

red chillis- dried: 3

tamarind: ½ tsp

Jaggery: 1 tsp

garlic: 1 tsp

Mustard seeds: 1 tsp

cumin seeds: 1 tsp

small curry leaves: 4

urad dal: 1 tsp

How To Make Peanut Chutney

  1. Microwave peanuts in a bowl for 3 minutes then set aside. 
  1. Heat red chillis and garlic in a saucepan. 
  1. Add the onion and cook for 3 minutes or till it becomes soft. 
  1. Put the cooled onion mixture in a blender with peanuts, salt, tamarind, and the jaggery and blend thoroughly. 
  1. Heat the mustard seeds till they begin to pop, then add in cumin seeds; cook for about 10 seconds. 
  1. Add the urad dal and curry leaves and cook until the urad dal begins to change color. 
  1. Mix the urad dal, onion mixture, and mustard seeds together. 
  1. Serve and enjoy.
