Peanut butter blossoms are a fun take on a classic treat. Blossoms are a fun dessert that are easy to prepare and even easier to eat. They are basically little cookies with a dollop of filling placed on top in their center. The filling in this case is peanut butter, but you can change the filling to the substance of your choice, although you will surely regret not using peanut butter as it tastes amazing.
Ingredients
granulated sugar: 1 cup
packed brown sugar: 1 cup
creamy peanut butter: 1 cup
butter – softened: 1 cup
eggs: 2
all-purpose flour: 3 cups
baking soda: 1 ½ tsp
baking powder: 1 tsp
granulated sugar: 2 tbsp
Hershey’s kisses: 7 dozen
How To Make Peanut Butter Blossoms
- Heat oven to 375° F.
- Beat 1 cup granulated sugar, the brown sugar, peanut butter, butter and eggs in a large bowl, using an electric mixer.
- Stir in flour, baking soda and baking powder.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
- Roll in additional granulated sugar.
- Place each ball 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 8-10 minutes or until edges are light brown.
- Remove from oven.
- Press a chocolate candy in center of each cookie immediately.
- Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
