Ingredients

pounds ground sirloin: 1 1/2

large beaten egg: 1

cup Italian bread crumbs: 1

medium finely chopped onion: 1

minced garlic cloves: 4

teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes: 1/2

teaspoons worcestershire sauce: 2

cup chopped parsley leaves: 1/4

cup grated Romano cheese: 1/4

salt to taste

pepper to taste

semolina sub rolls: 4

tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, divided: 2

chopped garlic cloves: 4

teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes: 1/2

tablespoons chopped parsley leaves: 2

teaspoon dried oregano: 1/2

crushed tomatoes can (28 ounces): 1

chunky crushed tomatoes can (14 ounces): 1

Salt and pepper to taste

a small bunch of shredded basil

a small bunch of shredded arugula leaves

cups Italian cheese: 2 1/2

How To Make Meatball Sandwich

  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
  2. Place the ground sirloin in a large mixing bowl. Make a well into the center of the meat.
  3. Fill the center with the egg, bread crumbs, onion, garlic, red pepper flakes, Worcestershire, parsley, cheese, salt and pepper to taste. Mix all the ingredients until well-combined.
  4. Now divide the mixture into 4 equal pieces. Roll each of the pieces into perfect balls. And place them equally onto a nonstick baking sheet.
  5. Place the meatballs in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes until the meatballs are fully cooked.
  6. Meanwhile, heat a saucepan over medium heat. Add oil and garlic. Cook them until slightly golden. Add red pepper flakes, parsley leaves, and oregano. Stir in the tomatoes and season it with salt and pepper.
  7. Let the sauce bubble up. Reduce the heat and bring it to simmer.
  8. Now take the meatballs out of the oven. Place them into each sub rolls. Pour marinara sauce over each meatball.
  9. Top with the shredded cheese, basil leaves, arugula leaves.
  10. Serve it with fruit juice and fries. Enjoy!
