Ingredients

ripe mangoes: 2

raw mango: 1

sugar (or the alternatives mentioned above): 1 cup

How To Make Mango Frooti

Instructions

  1. Cut the mangoes into small pieces and place the pieces into a pressure cooker, then add one cup of water.

Note: This will make the mango pieces steam. 

  1. Pourone cup of water in a pan and add sugar.
    1. Heat until the sugar is completely dissolved in the water.

Note: This is known as the sugar syrup.

  1. Wait for the previously steamed mango pieces to cool down.
    1. Blend the mango pieces to createthe mango puree. 
  1. Sieve your mango puree.

Note: Doing this removes the mango fibers, so it is optional. 

  1. Mix the sugar syrup with the mango puree and you finally have your homemademango frooti! 
  1. Before this drink is served, it is always good to add cold water or ice cubes. 

Trivia

You can add a little citric acid to expandthe mango frooti’s life span for almost a week.

With one cup of mango frooti, you have access to over 60% of your daily required Vitamin C and about 40% of vitamin A.
