Machhi Amritsari

Machhi Amritsari

Machchi Amritsari is a dish that is not like the typical Punjabi dish in the sense that it is savory. Most of the famous and acclaimed Punjabi dishes are sweet. However, this is the only dish that is bursting with flavors and is simultaneously a nutritious alternative to many of the fatty fish dishes from that cuisine. It is both easy to prepare and will leave you wanting more.

Packing this for your kid’s lunch? Make sure you pack them in an insulated kids lunch box or in your kids snack boxes.

Trivia:

  • Fish do not have ears, they hear through enclosed organs that are situated either side of their heads, behind the eyes.
  • All fish sleep, however since they have no eye lids there’s no way to tell exactly when they’re asleep and when not. This is one of the reasons why so many tuna fish can be found in the stomach of slower and bigger fishes.
