Ingredients

cups bulgur- fine: 3

cup flour- all-purpose: 2

tbsp oil: 6

tbsp pepper- red and crushed: 1

salt to taste

tbsp cumin- grinded: 1

cup water: 1

tbsp oil: 3

onion- finely chopped: 2

lb beef- grinded: 1

tsp allspice- grinded: 1/2

tsp salt- coarse: 1/2

tsp cinnamon- grinded: 1/2

How To Make Kubbe

  • Mix in a bowl bulgur, flour, 6 tbsp oil, salt, red pepper, and cumin, water until a crumb of dough is got.
  • Heat 3 tbsp oil in a skillet. Cook onion for 3 minutes to make it brown, remove from oil, stir in the ground beef, season with allspice, cinnamon, salt, and pour in the fried onion and pine nuts. Remove from heat and allow to cool down.
  • Shape dough to walnut-sized balls, make hole in the balls and enclose the meat mixture, seal up the hole, freeze balls on baking sheets and move into freezer bags when balls become solid.
  • Heat oil in a saucepan, fry the balls till they turn brown, drain the oil and serve at once.
